Welcome to my Web page! I hope this site gives you a better understanding of my practice here in Orange County as well as my own personal interests, background, and view of my specialty.
Biography
Orange County is very dear to me. I was raised in Tustin and graduated from Tustin High School. I was fortunate to receive my college and medical degree from UC Irvine. I completed my residency in obstetrics and gynecology and was a faculty member at the UC Irvine Medical Center. I then decided to pursue a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the same institution and spent a year on the faculty in Portland, Oregon, at the Oregon Health Sciences University. It was my experience there that made me realize that the future challenges of medicine and the opportunity to practice my specialty was best served within the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.
About my practice
Gynecologic oncology is a very unique specialty. Our field is focused on the surgical and chemotherapeutic treatment of all cancers related to the female reproductive tract. These cancers include ovarian, uterine, and cervical carcinomas. In addition, because of our surgical experience, we are often involved in the most complex gynecologic surgeries, even if they do not involve a malignancy. It is our philosophy that one physician needs to completely manage the surgical, chemotherapy, and behavioral aspects related to gynecologic malignancies in order to achieve the best outcomes for the patient.
How I thrive
I have thrived and continue to thrive because of my family. I have been married for more than 10 years and blessed with the two most wonderful children. My daughter is 6 and my son is 3. Both of them and my wife continue to provide the inspiration and emotional stability that allow me to flourish in my professional and personal life. My friends and family have been the constant source of my drive to maintain the most positive attitude and passion for life. Every one of these individuals provide me with the balance in my life that allows me to better myself every day from a mental and physical point of view.
