About me
Thank you for taking the time to read more about me and my practice. I feel very privileged to be able to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife with Kaiser. I love what I do and enjoy working with women throughout their lifetime.
Biography
I'm originally from El Paso, TX but have grown up in Orange County. I have a beautiful daughter and watching her grow has truly been amazing. We are busy with sports, piano and religious classes.
About my practice
I work with a team of Certified Nurse Midwives and Physicians who work side by side. My practice includes a woman's life span from teens to retired women. The highlight of my practice is when I see women year after year for well women visits and being able to catch up on their lives (new beginnings, pregnancy, school, jobs and even grandchildren). I especially love taking care of women when their pregnant. It's such a special time in their lives and I'm privileged to be a part of it.
How I thrive
I love to run! I have completed 10 full marathons, 7 half marathons and 2 relay races. I also enjoy weight lifting, cycling and yoga. I'm a big foodie and I love to cook and enjoy new recipes. I recently have been introduced to raw/vegan food and will definitely incorporate it into my diet. I also love scrapbooking and playing volleyball with my daughter.

My training and certification
Medical training
I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida. After graduation I started my nursing career at St. Jude's Medical Center, Fullerton, Ca. I first worked in Medical/Surgical; Rehabilitation; Mother/Baby and then Labor and delivery. I then returned to school at Cal State University, Fullerton and received my Master's of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Women's health and became licensed as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
