About me

Biography

I was born in Louisiana but moved to California at the age of 4. I grew up in Santa Ana as the second oldest of five children. My parents, who have been influential figures of hard work and family, immigrated to the US during the Vietnam War and started from scratch. Their dedication and perseverance has been instrumental in the long path of a career in medicine. I attended Saddleback high school and completed my bachelor's degree at UC Irvine. Afterwards, I went to medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed my residency in Ob/Gyn at Kaiser-Santa Clara. After being away for training, it is really great to be back and be able to practice in my home community.

About my practice

My interactions with my patients are one of the most important to me. I believe that every patient has a choice and I am there to support them every step of the way. Education and knowledge about your health is also instrumental in living a healthy lifestyle, so I believe that teaching and helping patients understand their body enables them to achieve their goals. I believe that women's health should not only focus on healing and treatment, but also on prevention and wellness. As an obstetrician and gynecologist, I look forward to helping patients of all ages. Family planning is one of my many interests. I am certified in inserting and removing Nexplanons. I love to teach patients about various LARC methods including IUDs. I enjoy taking care of patients with normal to high risk pregnancies, as well as patients with incontinence, abnormal bleeding and pelvic prolapse or pain. I also have a particular interest in minimally invasive surgeries, and for the right patients, can be advantageous in their healing.

How I thrive

I love spending time with my family, especially when we get together to cook. I also love exploring new countries and places with my fiancee, as well as new cuisine. I enjoy cooking and learning new recipes. I also enjoy tennis, hot yoga and hiking.
