I believe that being a physician is a tremendous privilege and I am blessed to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente community, helping improve the lives of women.
Biography
I am an Illinois native and was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. I completed my undergraduate studies in biochemistry at the University of Illinois and then went on to medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago. I did my residency in Ob/Gyn at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and completed an accredited fellowship in urogynecology and female pelvic medicine/reconstructive surgery at UC Irvine. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful children. In addition working at Kaiser Permanente, I volunteer at UC Irvine, teaching residents and fellows. I am also interested in researching the barriers that prevent women from seeking care for urinary incontinence.
About my practice
The field of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery provides care for women with disorders of the pelvic floor area, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, bladder disorders, and anal incontinence. I offer diverse treatments for these conditions, including more conservative therapies in addition to surgery.
How I thrive
I believe in striving for a balanced lifestyle for myself and my family. Outside of work and spending time with family, I enjoy kickboxing and being an active member of my local church.
