Welcome to my Web page! I am excited about having this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about myself.
Biography
I am originally from Southern California. Growing up I had always wanted to be a doctor and being an Ob/Gyn is a very natural and comfortable fit. I graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's in kinesiology, and received my medical degree from University of the Health Sciences in Chicago. I did my residency at Rush/Presbyterian Medical Center, also in Chicago. I joined the Kaiser Permanente family in 2005 was after 11 years in private practice in the suburbs of Chicago, where I also served as the department chairman for our local hospital for two years. I am married, have three beautiful (and occasionally sassy) daughters, and a female Labrador puppy. I am ecstatic to be home in California with my family and the sunshine. In my free time, I love to be with my family at home just having fun in the pool or outside gardening.
About my practice
My philosophy for my practice is quite simple: treat people how you like to be treated. I am privileged to work with a terrific group of physicians here in Orange County, as well as a supportive and compassionate staff of medical assistants and nurses at the San Juan Capistrano Medical Offices. I feel fortunate to be a part of a progressive Ob/Gyn department where I can concentrate on providing quality women's healthcare.
How I thrive
I have always been an athlete and continue to try to stay in both physical and mental shape through running. For the past two years, I have led a group of Kaiser Permanente runners for the Disney Half Marathon presented by Kaiser Permanente. I also am a firm believer in having quiet alone-time to rejuvenate the soul. I love to read everything from fun romantic fiction to nonfiction biographies and historical works. Achieving balance as a physician and surgeon, mother and wife, is my constant challenge, and I am continuously striving to do better at it.
