About me
I am Orange County raised (at least since age 10) and have desired to be a nurse-midwife since my oldest daughter was delivered by a Kaiser nurse-midwife in the early eighties. I received my registered nurse associate degree in 1988 and my Bachelor's degree in nursing in 2000. I have spent the last 21 years as a labor and delivery nurse at an Orange County community hospital preparing for my second career as a nurse-midwife. I completed my Master's degree in nursing as a nurse-midwife in 2010. I bring many years of experience attending to women during their delivery experiences and am soon going to celebrate delivery #2000. I have been married for thirty-two years and my husband and I have two daughters and a son (all midwife babies) two beautiful granddaughters and two handsome grandsons.
Biography
I received my Associate degree in nursing from Cypress College in 1988, my Bachelor's degree in nursing from Azusa Pacific University in 2000, and my Master Degree in Nursing from California State University Fullerton in 2010. I addition to my hospital experience, I have worked for seventeen years as both a registered nurse and a nurse-practitioner in a perinatology office.
About my practice
I believe that I have the unique opportunity to partner with women at one of the most amazing and vulnerable times in their lives. I want their birth experience to be one that they will always have good memories about. I provide full-scope obstetrical and gynecological services to women across their entire life-span. I have wonderful nurse-midwife and physician partners that I can collaborate with to assure that our patients get the care that they need and deserve.
How I thrive
I like to sing in our church choir, read, go to movies, exercise, good food and spending time with my family.
