Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to visit my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
Biography
One of my favorite aspects of working in the Kaiser Permanente system is the balance it allows me to have with the rest of my life - my husband and 2 beautiful daughters, family, friends, and hobbies. I am blessed to be back in the OC, where I was raised, with my family and friends after living in Mexico and the East Coast for nearly 10 years.
About my practice
Part of my motivation to become an obstetrician/gynecologist comes from my family history: women on both sides of my family were victims of breast cancer. It has also made me more aware of the importance of healthy living and regular check-ups, and how much we as patients can benefit from an honest and trusting relationship with our doctor. Kaiser Permanente has lead the way in offering the office based femaile sterilization procedure called Essure®. I am happy to discuss this procedure with you and, if you are interested in it, I am also one of the few doctors to perform this procedure within KP Orange County. With the current trend toward minimally invasive surgery, I am also doing >90% of my hysterectomies by Laparoscopic or Vaginal approach. This helps my patients return to there normal life faster.
How I thrive
Living a healthy life is something that we ALL have to work at - being a doctor or a nurse is no exception! I try to eat a balanced diet, squeeze in exercise when I can and spend time with my family and friends to relieve stress. I enjoy spending time chasing my 2 daughters around the park, beach or anywhere in the sun! I also play in a women's soccer league on the weekends.
